Methods of excitation of binders based on anhydrite
Sedlák, Michal ; Dvořák, Karel (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the internal excitation of anhydrite-based mortars. In the theoretical part, the general theory of sulphate binders, the formation of gypsum binders and their resulting products during firing are described. The theoretical part also describes the anhydrite mortars, their hydration process and collects the existing research on anhydrite excitation in the world, where, among other things, it deals with the further usability of the resulting gypsum by-products. The experimental part focuses on the internal excitation of anhydrite, which is based on the existing research at the THD Institute. The work builds on previous studies that also dealt with internal excitation research. It includes an experiment performed to optimize the thermal regime in the form of increased isothermal endurance with subsequent evaluation by XRD analysis.
Effects of the different grinding technology on the properties of Portland cement
Švéda, Matěj ; Všianský,, Dalibor (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis compares impact of various high-energy grinding technologies on crystallographic and granulometric properties of portland cement. It also observes the influence of the conventional and high-speed grinding technology on the resulting physical and mechanical properties of portland cement, depending on the storage time.
Study of Exciters of Anhydrite Binders
Duda, Štěpán ; Vavrušková,, Lenka (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
Presented diploma thesis is dealing with study of exciters of anhydrite binders. Theoretical part is dedicated to study of available domestic and foreign literature on a given topic. Attention is also paid to the study of the current research at the institute of THD. In the experimental part is developed a proposal of potential exciters of hydration on the basis of literature and according to the results of the research at the institute of THD. Next is proposed the methodological concept of the work. Testing of the monitored technological features follows. The study of the hydration process was recorded using XRD analysis and thermal analysis. Evaluation of the results was implemented by the mutual comparing of prepared recipes.
Methods of Excitation of Sulphate Binder Based on Anhydrite
Adameková, Paulína ; Vavrušková,, Lenka (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
The presented bachelor thesis is focused on excitation of a sulfate binder based on anhydrite. The thesis is conceptually divided in a theoretical and experimental part. The theoretical part is devoted to the general theory of sulphate binders and anhydrite mortars, at the same time, there is brought view on process of production of historical gypsum binders as well as the current use of anhydrides. In theoretical part of the thesis, there is included study, which is focused on previous research in presented problematics at the THD institution. In the experimental part of the thesis, which is primarily focused on the method of internal excitement, there is elaborated design and mineralogical analysis of input feedstocks as well as the internal waking process itself with subsequent qualitative evaluation using XRD and REM analysis.
Study of the grindability of the clinker minerals
Červinková, Lenka ; Všianský,, Dalibor (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The thesis deals with the influence of free various technological grinding processes of pure clinker minerals. The goals is to synthetically prepare pure clinker minerals and monitor the effect of the duration of the grinding process and monitor the impact of grinding technology on their crystallinity. A laser granulometry and XRD analysis are used for evaluation.
Quick Setting Road Cement
Coufal, Daniel ; Jiroušková, Kateřina (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
The thesis deals with the study of magnesium oxide burned by various burning regimes and his possibilities of its usage as potential expansion additive. The theoretical part of the thesis concerns mainly the volume changes and how they can be influenced. The practical part focuses on monitoring morphology, phase composition and the hydration process of magnesium oxide.
Study of the limestone decarbonation process
Koporcová, Diana Mária ; Všianský,, Dalibor (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with a research and a description of decarbonation process of limestone during the lime burning. The goal of the bachelor thesis is to try to find a connection between characteristics of input material and course of the decarbonation process, which is monitored by high temperature XRD analysis. There is an evaluation of the microstructure of emerging calcium oxide, especially by the size of the crystallites, in the experimental part.
Study of Parameters of Preparation and Stabilization of Belite
Kohutová, Alice ; Dvořák, Karel (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
The presented bachelor thesis is focused on monitoring the behavior of the mineral belite at high temperatures. The theoretical part deals with the study theories regarding the preparation and stabilization of C2S and its use in low-energy cements. The practical part is processed in the form of research of scientific articles dealing with the above mentioned topic and the results achieved at FAST BUT, THD. Based on previous research, there is introduced design and optimization of the methodology of preparation of polymorph ß-C2S, followed by analysis of its purity and stability. Part of the thesis is HT-XRD analysis, which allows monitoring of transformations during the burning of belite clinker in a high temperature chamber.
Study of the internal excitation of anhydrite
Kantorová, Kateřina ; Gazdič, Dominik (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of internal excitation of anhydrite mortars. It is divided into a theoretical part, in which the general distribution of sulfate binders is described, focusing primarily on anhydrite, stimulators, and hydration of anhydrite, and a practical part, which is devoted to research, design of the experiment, dosage of stimulators, firings, and the experiment itself. The practical part describes the current research on anhydrite excitation, which took place at the Institute of technology of building materials and components. The diploma thesis follows on from the previous bachelor's thesis. It continues with two internal drivers, which optimize the fineness of grinding and the degree of firing at the same time.
Study of Belite Structure and Stability
Adameková, Paulína ; Kalivoda,, Karel (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the preparation of clinker mineral belite. The aim is to optimize the preparation of belite followed by monitoring the influence of side oxides, the preparation process and also the firing on the stability of ß - C2S. The work focuses primarily on the preparation of ß - C2S without stabilization, based on previous research in the field of clinker minerals at the ÚTHD, where the results showed a recovery method for preparation of raw material mixture and optimization of suggested firing modes.
